Our Social Enterprises

What is a Social Enterprise?

A Social Enterprise is a business that is owned by a non-profit organization, and is directly involved in the production and/or selling of good and services. Social Enterprises have the dual objectives of generating income while achieving social, cultural, and/or environmental aims. They are one of the many ways a non-profit organization works to meet their mission of contributing to healthy communities. For more information, please go to the Social Enterprise Council of Canada website.
